Its defintiely that time of year, again.

So, I have sorely neglected my blog. We are all officially back to school as of this week. My internship starts today at a place called Phoenix Institute in Fort Wayne, that does foster care services. they also share an office with Phoenix Associates, who does counseling, so I think I will feel comfortable there. The staff is very small and I will be working mainly with two caseworkers, and supervised by one of the owners, who are a married couple. It is an exciting prospect to test out the skills I have been learning over the past few years. I think I may want to work in this field when I graduate, so we will see.

Keith switched from Harrison College onlince to Ivy Tech (on the ground) in Fort Wayne. He will be part time with two classes on Friday nights, this semester and hopes to work up to full time. He has adjusted quite well to third shift work, although I am still adjusting ;)

Jeric had a good first week back in public school 8th grade, and made a new friend already. We were able to meet his teachers, too, and feel optimistic about his success this year. Tessa likes her teacher, and has several friends in her class from last year, including some who live in our neighborhood. She will be starting Y soccer practice this week, but only observing until after Labor Day, per doctor's orders after getting her cast off recently. She is feeling fine, though.

We are all busy with work for church, too. We've been trying to visit or help several members who are either shut-in, battling severe illness, or both. Keith is preparing lessons for the next quarter when he will be teaching. I am having Bible studies with a few ladies, and the kids are both in new class settings that hopefully challenge them. We will be starting teen class & activities for the school year soon, with some new people coming, hopefully.

Summer Fun

Tiny Dancer Days

Here are some pictures of Tessa's Dance recital, in May. It was held at my former High School auditorium, due to the flooding of our CC school.













I told her it was neat that she was performing on the same stage I had performed on (drama). She is on the right, in front, if you can tell among the blurring ;)


We don't plan to resume dance lessons, at least not at this place...too expensive. These are her dance pals, and two were also in her second grade class.
